Airfield Shooting Club Announcement
We don't often post content not directly originating from ASC however in this case the message is important enough to distribute as we have several members that may be targeted by this or similar activity.
This will be for making up Bowling Pin tables, Frames and general Berm work on the 100 yard range.
Work party... Saturday, February 3th 2018, starting at 8:00 am.
We will be cleaning out a place for the new Conex box. And put some gravel in that spot. Will start at 8:00AM and try to finish by 2:00PM, as there is a pistol class on the range at 3PM
You will need.. Chain saws, weed whackers, something to move gravel with (shovels, rakes, etc...)
If you have some free time this is a great opportunity to help out the club and make a few service hours before the end of the membership year in March..
It’s that time of year again, Time to meet and speak with our Virginia Legislatures about issues and rights that face us.
The ASC wants to encourage all of our members to attend the VCDL rally in Richmond on January 15th.The Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) is at the forefront of protecting your rights in Virginia and we encourage all of our members to support them as much as possible.
More info can be found here.
4H Center is having a weddings on Saturday October 14th, from 4:00 PM to 5:15 PM.
Since the wedding is outdoors they requested no shooting during this time. We are going to hold a Ceasefire from 4:00 PM to 5:15 PM.. ON ALL RANGES.
We need 2 RSO's for a Airfield Center range rental on the Skeet and Trap fields, on Saturday, October14th.From 10am to 12pm
RSO's must be skeet/ trap qulified and know how to operate both ranges.
Peninsula Community Chapel has reserved the skeet and trap ranges. They’ll and expect about 20 of there members to attend.
We have an organization has already requested the skeet range from 2 to 4 on 10/01. My understanding is that an ASC member volunteered to instruct, though as of this morning they now would like an additional RSO for renting the rifle range.
We need one more person to serve as RSO for the rifle range, you don't need to be an NRA RSO , just a member in good standing. It's a great way to earn service hours.
If you are interested please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Good chance to get volunteer hours.
Need RSO for the 50yd range and the shotgun skeet range for September 2nd 15:30 to 18:30. Do not have to be NRA RSO just know our rules and how to operate the skeet range. Contact Mike at (757) 572-2835
Practiscore will not be used for this match, you can just show up.
