On the Skeet Range: Our first skeet fun shoot was so successful that we are going to do it again after the May ASC Board of Directors meeting on May 19, 2012. For the May shoot, we will start shooting at 10:00 AM. NSSA rules state that a round of skeet should take 20 minutes including breaks. If shooters will preregister and request flight times it will make scheduling much easier and assure that everyone gets to shoot. Email kgrover@hughes.net to preregister and he will respond with a firm flight time.
Our class is centered around the NRA's First Steps (Pistol) curriculum, but also includes a non-NRA section of approximately two-hours spent with a practicing attorney who discusses Virginia's laws as they relate to concealed carry and self-defense. There is also a session discussing safe ways to carry a concealed firearm. The classroom portion will begin at 9:00 AM and end around 3:30 PM. The range portion of the class will begin immediately after the classroom work and end around 4:30 PM. This may be the best class of its kind in this area.
ASC Liaison to NSSA (National Skeet Shooting Association) Ken Grover, will be putting on a skeet fun shoot which will begin immediately following the ASC Board of Directors meeting. No super skills required, it's just for fun. Come on out and join us.
