There is an event taking place that utilizes one or more of the ranges. Those ranges will be closed but members are welcome to attend the event. Please read the event for details.

IDPA Demonstration Match

ASC will hold an Action Shooting Demonstration / Orientation Fun Match to allow 20 club members an opportunity to shoot this format. It will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 12pm, shooting will start about 2pm, on the 50 yd range. The match is open to all semi-automatic pistols and revolvers shooters. This style of shooting involves "stages" (Courses of Fire) that require the shooter to engage multiple target accurately and but also quickly.  Each shooter is timed, the best score reflects a combined skill set of both fast shooting and accurate shooting.

Service Rifle Match

“As issued” Service Rifle Match. Open to ASC members, guest and anyone wanting to shoot Service Rifles.

Event will take place on the on the 100 Meter Range

Check-in will begin at 8:30 with safety brief at 9:00.

Match fee is $5.00 for members and $10.00 for non-members.

Event is expected to be over by noon but actual completion time is based on the number of competitors.

 

The rifle must be “as issued” by the Armed Forces of the country of origin.

(Rule 6.3.1 in the CMP Competition Rules 14th Edition 2010 describes in detail.)

Skeet Fun Shoot (NSSA)

On the Skeet Range: The Skeet Fun Shoot will be on the fourth Saturday for August 2012.  We will start shooting at 10:00 AM for any members not attending the ASC Board meeting.  ASC Board members will join the fun after each Board meeting. NSSA rules state that a round of skeet should take 20 minutes including breaks. If shooters will preregister and request flight times it will make scheduling much easier and assure that everyone gets to shoot. Email Ken Grover at kgrover@hughes.net to preregister and he will respond with a firm flight time.

Bowling Pin Match

Bowling Pin Matches are fast paced, close range handgun competitions that place a premium on accuracy and reliable equipment and ammunition.  We shoot the matches at retired bowling pins purchased from bowling alleys after they have reached the end of their useful life.

Shooters are allowed 15 seconds to knock a string bowling pins off of an 8 foot table located 25 feet downrange.
