4-H Campers from various counties around Virginia will be using the range during most Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 8 am until noon. This schedule will be revised as more current information comes in. Please double check the calendar before going to the range.
A Wound Warrior event (Salute to Our Heros) will be at ASC range from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. All ranges are closed to ASC members during this event.
The XO has called for a work party this weekend, Saturday, 10 March 2012 starting at 9 a.m.
We are looking for 10 to 15 volunteers for 4 hours. Please bring wood working tools, weed eaters & Boots!!!
If you have some free time this is a great opportunity to help out the club and make a few service hours before the end of the membership year on the 31st. Weather calls for 55 deg and sunny, so it could turn out to be a really nice day to work outside.

The 4-H Center is hosting a group of women who will be given a brief introduction to rifle and pistol shooting. The 50-yard range will be closed to ASC use from 1:30 until about 5pm.
The 100-meter range and the shotgun ranges will remain available for club member use. The bowling pin match will take place on the 50-yard range from 9am, when they begin setup, until 1pm.
This camp is designed to teach safe and responsible shooting to young folks ages 9 through 18. Disciplines offered will be basic and advanced shotgun, smallbore rifle, archery, and (if there is enough interest) smallbore pistol.
The trap is closed for an indefinate period while arrangements are made with LaPorte for repair.
Ladies will have the opportunity to shoot smallbore rifle, smallbore pistol, clay targets with shotguns, and archery. A luncheon buffet at the Airfield 4-H Center is included.
4-H members from anywhere in Virginia will participate in shooting competitions: Included will be trap, skeet, 3-position smallbore rifle, smallbore silhouette, archery and a number of other categories of competition.
4-H will be certifying new instructors and teaching new skills to current instructors. If you'd like to attend contact Silvia Brooks.
