ASC Flyer News Bulletin Jul 2016

Paddy Maloney's picture

Hello All,

This news bulletin is provided to talk about how to secure our gate at the ASC Range. Perhaps some of you maybe confused on how to lock the gate so I am sending another bulletin out with pictures to illustrate how we lock our gate. This is important as 4H personnel or safety personnel might need access and they cannot gain access if the lock is locked to the chain. That is why we use the two lock system. I also have provided some safety information about weather and lightning. There are some helpful tips and links to articles that are interesting.

Independence Bowling Pin Shoot Results

We had a strong turnout with almost twenty participants at the July Pin Match. Our intrepid group of shooters were met with almost perfect shooting conditions. While the road to the range experienced a washout due to the previous evening's storm, the range now drains quite well. The results from the match are listed below. We are getting a great mix of shooters now and if you have not tried you hand at pins, you should. Come on out on August 6. See you then.

Independence Bowling Pin Shoot

Gentle Shooters,

The next installment of Bowling Pin Shooting Mayhem, the Independence Pin-A-Thon, kicks of at the ASC range in Wakefield this Saturday, July 2nd. Set up is at 9:15 with the first pins falling promptly by 10 AM. If you have been curious about pin shooting or haven't been out to one of our matches in a while, why not stop by and enjoy the fun.

ASC Member Election Meeting and Breakfast

On July 16, 2016, the Airfield Shooting Club will be holding its annual ASC Member Election Meeting and Breakfast.

We will meet in the 4-H Center's Main Gray Building dining hall.  Plan to arrive around 8:00 A.M. with breakfast being served between 8:00 - 8:30 A.M.  Breakfast is paid for by the ASC for all ASC Members active and in good standing.

Please note we must limit attendance to members only because we have to share the dining hall with a 4-H youth group.
