Greg Metzgar's picture

Heavy rains continue through the Wakefield and the surrounding areas- therefore we'll reschedule to shoot in June.

Pending the weather conditions in Wakefield for 13 May 2017, if there is significant rain in Wakefield at the time of Service Rifle Match, it will be cancelled. Be sure to check for updates before driving to range.

Mayhem May Bowling Pin Match

Greetings Fellow Pin Blasters,

The next installment of Bowling Pin Mayhem will occur this Saturday, May 6th at the Airfield Shooting Club in beautiful Wakefield Virginia. We will begin our setup at 9:30 in the morning with the first pin rolling off the table around 10. For directions to the range or information on the match, see our web page at airfieldshootingclub.org. For specific questions about the match, email our pinhead at stevengordon@cox.net.

Range Road Update

The main road to the range is in the process of being worked on. At this time it's certainly usable but work will continue, construction equipment is still in place. As further information on when the road won't be passible is available we'll update this posting.

If the primary road is not passable, you may survey and use the secondary road off of Turkey Pen at your own risk. It sometimes gets quite muddy.

Range road is CLOSED for repairs!

The ASC range road is CLOSED for repairs until further notice.  You may be able to access the range from a side road off of Turkey Pen Rd. (Come in next to dumpsters), but you will need a four wheel drive or other vehicle that can make it through deep ruts and mud.  USE THIS PATH AT YOUR OWN RISK!  Not responsible for stuck vehicles or damage.
