Welcome to the January 2015 edition of our beloved newsletter called "The Flyer". In this edition of the flyer you will meet ASCs new Editor-in-Chief our our Newsletter and club media. Also we have some great articles from some of our board members. In this edition you will see some sublte changes to content and I hope you enjoy the read. In this newsletter we have new sections with some very helpful and mindful information.
Hello ASC Members, Fall is the perfect time for shooting sports. Temperatures are getting milder which makes for a more comfortable day at the ASC range. Many of you are turning your thoughts to hunting and want to practice your shooting skills to bring home the wild game prize. Others are ready to don your skeet vests and enjoy the skeet range with some buddies in hopes of breaking that perfect 25. Shotgunning not your thing… then knocking bowling pins down on the first Saturday or shooting prone in a Service Rifle match or in the new “Zombie Match” is just as fun in the mild Fall days. Check out the ASC calendar and maybe there is something there for you. Whatever you do, please don’t pass up the best time of the year to be on the ASC range.
On July 19, 2014, the Airfield Shooting Club will be holding its annual ASC Member Election Meeting and Breakfast for all active ASC Members. We will meet in the Gray Building dining hall with breakfast being served at 8:30 a.m. Breakfast is paid for by the ASC for all ASC Members active and in good standing. Please let me know that you are coming so that we can get a head count estimate. Please note that family or guests accompanying Members will not be paid for by the Club.

Also, I unfortunately have to report in the ASC Rule Violations section that members and guests appear to be intentionally damaging ASC property again. If it wasn’t intentional, then they seriously are in need of shooting instruction, and I recommend that they enroll in a firearms training class and stay off the ASC
