Boy Scouts - We’ve recently been doing a lot of work with Boy Scout groups.  I’m always excited when we have the opportunity to introduce young folks to the shooting sports.  There is so much misinformation out there about firearms that it is WONDERFUL to have the opportunity to properly inform those who will decide the future of our sport.  Due to Boy Scout requirements this work falls primarily on those of us who hold NRA instructor credentials, but each and every one of you can help in your own way by always acting as responsible role models.  Always handle firearms in a safe and responsible manner and you’ll be doing your part to impart a positive image of the shooting sports on our next generation.

Range Safety Officer Course? – All of our ASC members have received training in how to safely operate our range, but some members have recently expressed an interest in obtaining more training.  They’d like to become NRA Certified Range Safety Officers.  If there is enough interest I’ll discuss this with our NRA Training Counselor.  If you are interested in becoming an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer drop me an e-mail and I’ll add your name to my list.

Stay safe and I’ll see you on the range.
